While solid-state devices are increasingly used, frequencies at 1 GHz or more are dominated by vacuum tubes and vacuum electronics. ETAŞ is dedicated to designing and producing its own RF power generators and RF signal amplifiers.

Magnetron

A magnetron is a type of vacuum tube that generates microwaves. Its working principle is based on the interaction of a stream of electrons with a magnetic field. It is commonly used in radar systems, microwave ovens, and various communication devices due to its high efficiency and ability to produce high-power radio frequency (RF) signals.

At ETAŞ, we are proud to showcase our latest work on cutting-edge magnetron design. This project focuses on developing a high-efficiency magnetron with the following key features:
• Output Power: 10 kW
• Operating Frequency: 3.05 GHz
• Efficiency: Achieved an impressive value of 77%

Klystron

A klystron is a specialized vacuum tube used to amplify high-frequency radio waves, making it essential in radar, satellite communication, and particle accelerators. Recognizing its importance in high-power RF applications, ETAŞ has embarked on developing our own high-power klystron design.

TWT Amplifier

A Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) is a high-power, broadband amplifier used in satellite communications and radar systems. At ETAŞ, we are proud to announce that we have developed two innovative TWT designs, backed by our proprietary simulation code.

Our first design achieves 30dB amplification over a 5 GHz bandwidth, while the second design offers an impressive 60dB amplification over a 12 GHz bandwidth. These advancements ensure superior performance and reliability in demanding high-frequency applications.
